Why not attend our introductory series of ten weekly FREE Bee-keeping lectures? These are held at the Apiary during the winter months. These will start on Thursday, Oct. 9th (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) in 2008 - bring pencil, notepad and enthusiasm.
Special announcements -updated 15th Oct.

During the active bee-keeping season (March to September) groups of student bee-keepers work with experienced tutors on Friday evenings taking care of the Association's beehives. In 2009, we will start on Friday, March 6th at 6.30 p.m. There is chat (mostly about bees!) at the tea counter and Members can use the Library and the Trading Post.

Twice a year, Association Members can test the health of their colonies at the Bee Clinic (the Autumn clinic is on Sun. 7th Sept, 2 p.m. onwards) and at harvest time they are able to borrow (for a small fee) one of the honey extractors or use our own 'food-grade' extracting room.
