Come to a Twickenham & Thames Valley Bee-Keepers' Association Event.

Each year, the Twickenham & Thames Valley Bee-keepers' hold an annual programme of events. The actual times and dates vary each season - the dates for 2011 are as follows:

Sat. 21st May 1 p.m. Open Day. A chance for everyone to come and see what we do, find out about beekeeping, buy local honey and enjoy teas, cakes and other attractions. At the end of the day, we will have a short session of hands-on practial beekeeping for those who are really interested. Numbers for this are limited - you can sign-up on the day.

October 9th at 1 p.m. *The Honey Show*
Visitors very welcome! A showcase of top quality hive products. Come and find out just how wonderful honey can taste! TTVBKA and Members honey will be on sale. Enjoy bidding for honey and other garden produce at the Auction, which starts at 4:30 p.m.

For members, the George Tinker lecture will be on Fri. 23rd Sept., 7 for 7:30 p.m. Due to other commitments, we have replaced this lecture with a video evening. The George Tinker lecture will be held in the Spring of 2012.

The Rosina Clark Memorial Lecture & President’s Evening will be on Nov. 11th, 7 p.m. for 7:30.
The speaker will be Mikey Tomkins who will talk on "The Capital Bee Project - the first year.
The Capital Bee initiative was initiated this year by the Mayor of London with the aim of helping community groups to keep bees. Mikey is the Programme Manager for Capital Bees.
